Best Kept School Award
Eco-Committee

Our Eco committee come from the KS2 classes in our school and have put themselves forward for election in this leadership role. They have had amazing success in 2023, not only gaining their "Green Flag" status but also in receiving the award for Eco School of the Year. This year they have been focusing on the area of litter in our school grounds and also in the wider community. They have been trying to reduce litter in both of these areas to help protect our natural environment and the wildlife in the rural area in which our school is situated. They continue to work on the reduction of energy waste in school and at home, as well as trying to encourage all pupils to live a more healthy lifestyle. They encourage the school body to celebrate the biodiversity in our school grounds and also continue to grow our own crops in our recently installed polytunnel. We are aiming to be a litter-free school by the end of the year and with the help of our eco warriors we are well on our way to achieving this!
