Mummified apples in P4/5 ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿงช๐Ÿง‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘ฑ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

11th Nov 2020

P4/5 had a busy morning examining the findings of their week-long experiment. Having placed their apple slices to ‘mummify’ in a controlled place last week everyone was patiently waiting to see what the most effective preservative would be. Everyone thoroughly examined and compared all of their apple slices for colour, size and texture. The two preservatives that were most effective were found to be the same as those used in real mummification processes in Ancient Egypt. We really enjoyed being scientists and historians this week! ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿงช๐Ÿ‘ฑ๐Ÿป‍โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿง‘๐Ÿป
