As the Primary 5/6 class approach the end of their WAU topic “The Vikings” they have been working extremely hard on a Viking longship project. All of the children completed a written project outlining different design specifications and choices before choosing their materials and creating their final longships. They used a variety of materials and finishes and the completed pieces were phenomenal. Congratulations goes to all of the children who worked so hard to design their individual longships. Particular congratulations to Oscar, Lily, Cillian and Eoghan who took home the prizes on the day. Choosing winners was particularly difficult for Miss Heaney and Mrs Duffy and we had some input from a visiting historical writer on the day. The conclusion was everyone deserved to be a winner so it was sweeties and stickers for everyone! 🏅🎉🏆
